Youth GoalieTraining

Young goalies need position-specific reps, clear language, and confidence. Defiance breaks the position into smaller skills, then builds those details back into full-game goalie habits.

Built for youth hockey goalies.

Training can support new goalies learning the position, travel goalies trying to sharpen details, and older youth goalies preparing for higher-speed play.

Foundations

Movement and stance

Build posture, edges, crease movement, recoveries, and controlled habits before pressure rises.

Puck detail

Tracking and rebounds

Work on seeing pucks, managing rebounds, staying square, and recovering with purpose.

Confidence

Game understanding

Help young goalies understand why a save works so they can carry the habit into games.

Youth goalie questions

For parents and players.

What should a youth goalie bring?

Bring properly fitted goalie gear, water, skates if the session requires them, and any parent or guardian information requested before training.

Do beginners fit?

Yes, as long as the goalie is ready for focused instruction and has the necessary equipment. Defiance can work on fundamentals and confidence.

Is there a waiver?

The owner is handling the waiver in person for now. Youth players may need parent or guardian consent before training.
